I found this book to be a very good family book. I don't usually read books writen for LDS audiences. However, Robert is one of my favorite authors. He is funny and has a way of capturing the audience with his story lines. We read this book as a family. My children loved it. During dinner they would quote parts of the book we read the night before. Having chicken at our house will never be the same. The story is based on a fictional town in southern Utah which hires a new math teacher from Charlotte. Upon entering the town you begin laughing with the cast of lovable characters. If you are looking for an enjoyable read this book will give you what you are looking for. My kids loved the book as much as I did.
