CAMELLIA IS AN EXCELLENT SEQUEL TO ELLIE-GOOD READ
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
Before reading Camellia, you must first read Ellie in order to really understand the book. Camellia was Ellie's daughter whom she gave to her friend Bonny after birth. There is a long story behind that. To begin with, Camellia, having had Bonny as a mother, grew up with her mother cheating, and lying around with men. And very very poor, they lived in the slums for many years after Camellia's father John Norton passes away. It was when Camellia was 15 that Bonny is murdered and her body is found in the lake. It takes a long time before the police uncover the mystery of what really happened. And in the meantime, Camellia turns wild, out with men having sex, stealing from everyone, and on drugs. Camellia gets herself on the right path eventually, but it takes a long long time. Later she discovers her mother's letters she left behind, and discovers a trail of lies a mile long. Eventually she discovers the truth about the woman who signed her letters, "H", and what she discovers later is a shocking secret.
