Steve is a poet based in Wales, with strong links to Australia and an affinity with parts of South East Asia. A traveller by nature, his poetry reflects some of the adventures, problems and dilemmas which emerge from the incongruous nature of migration, and from life more generally. 'Bumps In The Road' is an eclectic but very accessible work. From the rigours of first hand experience to more light-hearted moments in life; from some of the divisive aspects of an out of balance, restless society to the temporary nature of existence and our (inevitable?) individual isolation. Hints of a journey towards awareness are evident, with observations regarding the various collective and singular ways through it all. The author offers us a twist of the magical on a background of reality. 'Bumps In The Road' is Steve's fourth poetry collection and fifth book. The others are: 'In The Moment'; 'In Deep'; 'In Transit'; and 'A Ticket Out'. The latter is a memoir of cultural and historical value.
