I have been teaching ESL for many years and I found this book, as well as the other books by David Diehl to be EXCELLENT for my classroom. The kids love the books. The images are very kid-centric. Will certainly pick up any more books that Diehl makes in the years to come. They are a wonderful addition to the ESL classroom!
first book my baby truly loves

My baby girl just turned one yesterday. For about a week, she has been digging through her books to find this one, which she will then bring over for me to read to her. When it's over, she will often turn to the beginning to start over; she will also try to find her favourite page (cock-a-doodle-doo). The only danger is that your voice may go hoarse from repeated readings. I wish there were more books like this with such simple, ear-catching sounds. My 2-and-a-half year old niece also thinks it's hilarious when I read this book to the baby, and enjoys joining in with the sounds.
Great illustrations. Fun reading.

My 1-year old son really enjoys this book. The illustrations are really cool and it's fun making the sounds for him. We read it several times in a sitting.
