Excellent Field Guide

I LOVE this field Guide! You can get right to the birds you want to identify without looking through all the other birds that are NOT in this part of the country.

If you're a decent intermediate birder with a thirst for more info on the local birds, this is a great book. Details on nesting, habitat are included. Warning: does not have any details on the "uncommon" birds.
