Hilarious, as well as thought-provoking and sometimes poignant vignettes of small-town people in the US Heartland, by an English writer. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I liked this book because it gives a good look into the mindset of the people of Kansas but at times, I did wonder why the people interviewed seemed so darn happy and optimistic for the most part. Interviews took place some years ago so maybe it was a characteristic of that era. I'm going to read Tony Parker's "Lighthouse" next.
