Inspiring and encouraging at moments of crisis or change

I appreciate Ruth Senter's book because it strikes a chord with me as a middle-aged woman going through life's changes (not all of them biological). She is open and honest with the reader about her own failures, doubts, and feelings of uncertainty. But she also brings hope by sharing how she met various challenges and found peace through reflecting on Scriptural examples of people going through similar situations and recalling how her godly parents handled like circumstances. A very helpful book for times of turmoil or decision-making. It also reveals a lot of pesonal autobiographical information about the author and her family.
