Nichols (1898-1983), a British writer whose reprinted books on gardening and sundry topics have proven popular, shares his wry observations on alphabetized aspects of beloved feline and less well-tolerated human behavior. The book includes a preface by an animal expert and charming illustrations. Or
this is a great book! Cute, funny, witty. Not quite up to par of most of Nichols' other writings, but well worth the read. Giving one to my cat-loving sister as a gift!
Good for Nichols collectors and Cat lovers

A cute little book - typically a little meatier with the wording than you would expect from the title - but I suspect that must just be Nichols style. Enjoyable - purchased two for devoted cat lovers.
Cats and old fashioned charm

This is a wonderful, charming book about cats by the famous gardening writer Beverley Nichols. His books take place in midcentury England and are absolutely wonderful. There is a equally charming sequel, Cats X. Y. Z., and several garden writing books (not how-to's, but humorous stories of his experiences gardening, housekeeping, and English village life). If you like this sort of thing, it's A+.
