the title says it

?This book includes practical advice for anyone who feels called to preach. The ten chapters cover everything from what sources to consult during sermon preparation to getting feedback from the congregation. Not only is each chapter written by a different author, but this book is a collaboration of twenty-seven preachers. These varied voices allow each reader to explore what "works" in the pulpit. After the introduction to each chapter are sections on "goals," "instructions," "things encouraged and discouraged," "best answers to questions," a short "conclusion," and a "bibliography" of sources pertinent to that chapter. This makes for less of a how-to book and more of a dialogue with a group of professionals. Not only is this a good starting place for a seminary student, like me, but also would make a good resource for any pastor who wants to re-explore how to make their ministry more effective. Any chapter could be read alone to give pointers on how to improve their way of spreading the word of God.
