This was the first book I brought with me to Miami when I started my no-phone beach ritual time. It felt like a fitting start. Emily Henry's world was an easy and comforting one to sink into day after day.

Quick, enjoyable read. Not much depth to the characters and pretty predictable but is a feel good, happy ending fluff piece.

I’ve always love reading and writing and this book fires up both sides of my book brain. It shows the challenges of being a writer, but also has a love story that makes you never wanna put down the book. Beautifully written!

This is my first Emily Henry book but it will not be my last. I loved Gus and his view of the world even if I'm more of a January. Also, the friendship between January and Shadi is so absolutely perfect. Everyone needs a friend like these two. Their shorthand is what makes for long friendships even tho they weren't even "together" for much of the book. All in all, these relationships make January a VERY lucky girl!
