"Baby Eye Like: I Love You!" is a picture board book composed of photos of pairs of various animals showing their affection toward each other: giraffes, polar bears, fish, seals, cows, birds, doves, dogs, horses, and jaguars. The photos are nice and clear. Betsy, a 4-year old, said: "I like giraffes and polar bears in the book. Actually I like the whole book." He twin sister Irene said: "I like the whole book too." Sara, a 16-month-old can flip through the book herself, and she will point to the picture of the fish and says "Yee" and smiles. She learns to call "fish" as "fees" after flipping through the book twice. She seems to like the fish page most and always tends to turn to that page. Reviewed by Max Aures (age 2) and Mom for Reader Views (12/08) "Baby Eye Like: I Love You! - Affection in the Natural World" is a very basic book showing pictures of animals loving each other. Each page has the name of each animal and pictures of the animals hugging, kissing, and cuddling. Max enjoyed the book and had fun naming the various animals and what they were doing. Throughout the book, some of his comments were: "Look! Giraffes hugging!" "Birds kissing!" He thought that the picture of the fish kissing was absolutely hilarious and kept opening the book to that page after we were finished reading. The photographs in the book were so sweet and unique. "Baby Eye Like: I Love You! - Affection in the Natural World" would be a great book for young children to help teach them to identify different animals and also to teach about love.

I discovered the "baby eye like" books after purchasing the regular "eye like" series. I fell in love! The photography is beautiful, but my son is far to young to share tear-able pages with, so I am quite thankful for the board books. I have purchased the entire series, and plan to pre-order "Purple," "Orange," and "Stripes." I think our favorites are the "Black & White" and "I Love You," but we like them all.
