B is for 'Baby' . . . and 'Best Buy'

This book is a gorgeous collection of decorating projects and ideas for babies' rooms -- perfect for a shower or holiday gift, or as motivation for your own adventures with a glue stick. Suzonne's How-To's are fun and easy to understand ( as opposed to some designer project guides that leave you with a tortured mess of twigs and dough, and glitter in unmentionable places. Or . . . maybe that's just me ). Whatever your skill level, rest assured that 'B is for Baby' will inspire an artistic confidence you didn't know you had, and fulfill a creative outlet you didn't know you were missing. Have fun !

I received this book as a gift and really was excited!!! I always want to do craft projects, but sometimes feel like things are going to be too complicated. This book makes it seem easy and doable, and has inspired me to start making some craft projects right away. The step by step instructions are easy to follow. Doing small craft projects is really satisfying and I find it better for relaxing than meditating or a martini!!!

In a rather engaging A to Z format, Suzonne Stirling presents twenty-six crafts oriented projects that mixes vintage traditional with modern-style contemporary activities suitable for even the most novice crafter. These 'budget friendly' crafts projects range from 'A is for Announcement'; to 'D is for Decoupage'; to 'K is for Keepsake Box'; to 'Q is for Quilt'; to 'Z is for Zoo Animal Storybook'. Each individual project comes with a 'Tools & Materials' list; step-by-step project instructions; and a color photograph of the finished project. Whether it's 'J is for Journal' or 'W is for Wall Frieze', this superbly presented and enthusiastically recommended project book is particularly suited for the novice crafter and will hold immense interest for the experienced crafter as well.
GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT for new moms, aunts, grandmas

This is a beautifully designed, accessible, fun book. I ended up buying 5 copies for my friends with new babies in their lives -- it makes a great gift that is more unusual than baby clothes and such, and it is so reasonably priced ($11.50), especially for such a well produced book. The projects are definitely "doable," but the book is fun even just for thumbing through. And really, it's great for everyone -- especially NON-moms who want to give an easy handmade gift to celebrate the arrival of a friend's baby. As a new mom myself, those have been the best gifts of all -- those of a little time and creativity, and this book makes it easy to do!
