Rapscallion Rake Wanderer Adventurer All accusations that the Earl of Treyford acknowledges with pride. The scandalous son of a disgraced mother, he has no time for the pretty niceties of the ton, nor the simpering debutantes who populate its ballrooms. He has returned to England to aid an "aging" spinster facing an undefined danger. But Miss Latimer's dark and sultry beauty, her fascinating mix of knowledge and innocence, arouse far more than his protective instincts. Can such an improper aristocrat learn to be the true gentleman Miss Latimer deserves?
This is a great read. A different historical setting and we spend very little time in London. So nice to see something out of the mainstream. Love the characters and a great mystery to solve.
More like an Adventure!

The book was a fascinating read. I have not read a romance since I was a teenager and this book might just bring me back!! I liked the book because of the middle eastern flair, the legend and the mysterious elements. I would love to read a sequel of Chione's return to her homeland!
An historical romance with a difference

At last, a Regency that starts not in Britain but in Egypt. I very much enjoyed getting out of England and Scotland to get tastes and glimpses of someplace much more exotic.

A delightful romp in a time when Improperness was avoided, but not this read! If you love historicals, you'll love this one.
