A devotional that will aid in a closer walk with God.

I read this book 10 years ago, not too long after it was first published by the author. We all long for a closer walk with God. At times we feel we are far away and can't seem to find our way back to our "First Love". This book is a thought provoking catalyst to that closer walk. I highly reccommend it to all those who know and love the Lord, but are missing that closer walk. I just bought three more copies for a bible study with a group of friends. We will be following through with the retreat at the end of the book. Something I have not yet experienced since I originally read this book alone. Whether you are looking for a group bible study or a personal study, this book has what you desire.

This book should be on every woman's nightstand. It is inspirational. The 1st chapter(on "rest") helps you to settle down and learn to focus on God and His influence on your life. The chapters that folllow take you by the hand and walk with you. It is a good book for new Christians as well as life long ones.
Great book to get you started on having a daily quiet time.

This book begins with an entire chapter about how God gives us rest - not more chores to do or more ways to run ragged, but rest. It also acknowledges our busy lifestyles by making each study one page long - you may spend time in the book without having to juggle the whole day's schedule. Light hearted & practical too,
