Rae Lambert was to marry Ralph Stevens only she heard Ralph and his sister Peggy talking about taking over her property, and how they would be rolling in it as soon as Ralph and Rae were married. Rae went home and wrote a letter to Ralph to let him know she had heard him discussing her. And she called off the wedding. Rae went to her beach house and met Pam and Helen Gilcrist having a sun bath. Pam left her watch, and Rae returned it to her. Pam told Rae about a job as a companion with her grandmother. The whole family thought Rae was poor. But Rae was a wealthy young woman, but she loved being with the elderly Mrs Gilcrist. Mitch thought Rae was going to try to get money, or gifts from the old woman and he kept a close eye on Rae. He learned his mistake and he started being very nice to Rae. Then Helen told him a twisted version of Rae being late picking up Mrs Gilcrist. Then Mitch found his was mistaken about that and he started being nice to Rae again. Then Rea gave money to his sister Joan's boyfriend Conner. Helen told on her again. When Mitch fired her Rea went home. Mitch went to talk to Conner, he found out the truth and located Rea, he apologize again. This time and again Rae forgave him.
