I am married to a wonderful hero stationed in Iraq. I heard about this book from talk around the base where I live. I got it today and couldn't put it down. I am writing this with tears in my eyes from the words written by this young girl in her book, A MILLION THANKS. Shauna tells her story about how at 15 she felt compelled to do something nice for our soldiers...to collect one million thank you letters and send them to U.S. soldiers around the world. She tells of her her talks with soldiers, her feelings for them and their families, the emotions she had, and she shares many of the letters that she received. For me, it showed that there ARE people out there who do appreciate the sacrifices of our military men and women. I wish every soldier and their family could read this book. It's a book that makes you proud.
I LOVED THIS BOOK

I disagree with the Frenchman. Did we read the same book? Author, Shauna Fleming did an excellent job of telling her story as a 15 year old. The French critic must be rather heartless as the story had me in tears several times. This book is down to earth and gives the reader insights into the problems of running a volunteer organization that rivals a post office. She has inspired thousands including myself. It's a wonderful, easy reading book.
Awesome what small ideas can turn into.

This was an awesome book that showed where an idea from a 15 y-old came from and how it took off. I disagree with the first review that said it should have included others and their way of showing patriotism because this book was about Shauna and A Million thanks campaign. As a member of the military, I truly appreciate what she, and the Millions that helped her, were able to achieve.

I got this book and was amazed at the story of how this girl put all this together for our troops. I have some friends that are in the Army in Iraq and I am going to send them a copy. It made me feel good so I am sure my friends will appreciate it. The only thing I would have liked to see is the book to be longer. The pictures of the letters and cards she received were really great. I think this book is a great book to give as a gift.
