One of the best books I ever read was A Leap Ahead by Melissa Lowell. It inspired me to read more of her books. Although I have read almost all her books, I like A Leap Ahead best. I got interested in this book because it is about ice skating. In this book you may learn feelings of other people and lessons of friendship. I say you should read this book out and also try other Melissa Lowells books, and write about your favorite book.
AMBER IS TALENTED

WHY I FIRST SAW THIS BOOK IN THE LIBRARY. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BORING. BUT AS A FAN OF SILVER BLADES, I READ IT AND LOVES IT. THIS BOOK SHOWS HOW TALENTED AMBER IS, AND YET SHE IS NORMAL, SHE GETS MAD, JEALOUS. BUT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, SHE GOES THROUGH IT.
Excellent book!

This book is a very big contrast to the Silver Blades book Nutcracker on Ice. In this book everything is shown from Amber's perspective and the reader gets to know how Amber feels, as opposed to in Nutcracker on Ice, when Amber is almost portrayed as the "bad guy". This book combines exageration, friendships, ages, and lots of skating with an excellent suspenseful ending. PS: DON'T read the ending first, it ruins it!
