This collection of short stories (except for "Robbed Blind" story number 15) were taken from my novel "Shipwreck and a road called Grief by J Alexander. It says in the Bible, that even Jesus asked God to take away his cup of suffering. So could anyone of us mere mortals claim to be greater than He? I think not.The inspiration for these short stories came from John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress" a timeless masterpiece and also his life's story. Even Mr. Bunyan's last words have endured for over four-hundred years, "Weep not for me, but for your selves. I go to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will through the mediation of His blessed Son receive me though a sinner; there we shall meet to sing the new song and remain everlastingly happy, world without end." If you want to move on with your life, just listen to what God has to say: "I know your heart is hurting today. It hurts to think and breathe. It hurts to remember. It hurts to think about going forward. In these moments, I want to challenge you to stop, breathe, and think of me. I will give you hope for the future that at this moment you simply can't comprehend."If only one suffering, grieving person (Soul) finds some comfort in just one story I will consider the entire project a success.
