This book was a gift to my husband. But, needless to say, we are both enjoying each page. We don't read too many pages at a time as we savor each cartoon clip and want the joy to last. DELIGHTFUL! The Foreward and Backward written by other humorists are quite humorous and gives interesting insight to Jeff MacNelly's personality and character. We recommend this book to everyone who likes to laugh.

I work as a reporter and part of the humor in Shoe is that when a friend or family member calls me and tells me about that day's installment, I tell them that things like that happen every day in the office. Jeff MacNelly is right up there with Charles Schultz, Bill Keane and all the other comic artists who can make you laugh just by holding up a mirror to your life. His "Shoe" is to our profession what "Beetle Bailey" is to soldiers and "Zits" is to parents. As for the book, I can't put it down. I have read it straight through about six times and I always find something new to laugh at. If you buy this book, you will too.
